Celtic Equine Vets is an exclusively equine ambulatory practice covering West Hampshire, South Wilshire and East Dorset. The practice area extends to a 25 mile radius from our base in Minstead-near Cadnam in The New Forest.

The Celtic Equine Vets team is made up of Alan Hough (Director and Veterinary Surgeon), Alex Clarke (Veterinary Surgeon), Eli Lovell (Veterinary Surgeon), Kirsten Harman (Veterinary Surgeon) Georgie Hough (Practice Manager), Laura Moore (Office Manager), Jenny Woodhouse, Kate Robb and Sarah Bessant (Office Administrators).
We aim to provide the highest standard of routine and emergency care at very affordable and competitive prices all at your premises for all types of horses and ponies from professional athletes to happy hacks.
Celtic Equine Vets has invested in fully portable equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound and video endoscopy which ensure all procedures can be carried out at the our clients premises. Most of the equipment is battery powered which allows us to work at premises and fields without mains electric.
Alan is hugely experienced in all aspects of first opinion equine medicine, holds a post graduate qualification in Equine Practice and has a particularly strong interest in equine dentistry and equine reproductive medicine. Alex, Eli and Kirsten have over 25 years equine experience between them, Alex and Eli both hold post graduate certificate in Equine Internal Medicine, and Kirsten has a post graduate qualification in Equine Orthopaedic Surgery. Alex, Eli and Kirsten all have a strong interest in equine lameness investigations and poor performance cases.
