Celtic Equine Vets is an exclusively equine ambulatory practice covering West Hampshire, South Wilshire and East Dorset. The practice area extends to a 20 mile radius from our base in Minstead-near Cadnam in The New Forest.

Celtic Equine Vets is a new and modern equine veterinary practice founded by Alan Hough (MVB Dublin), an experienced equine vet offering a highly professional, reliable, personal and cost effective service. The Celtic Equine Vets team is made up of Alan, his fiance Georgie who is the practice manager and Laura, our office administrator.

We aim to provide the highest standard of routine and emergency care at very affordable and competitive prices all at your premises for all types of horses and ponies from professional athletes to happy hacks.

Celtic Equine Vets has invested in fully portable equipment including digital radiography and ultrasound which ensure all procedures can be carried out at the our clients premises. Most of the equipment is battery powered which allows us to work at premises and fields without mains electric.

Alan is experienced in all aspects of first opinion equine medicine and has a particularly strong interest in equine dentistry and equine reproductive medicine.
